Let the SG Photo Challenge...begin!
Welcome to those who are participating. Here comes your first challenge...
Find those beautiful buildings around your city just begging to be shot. Try shooting during the day or at night. Try shooting wide angles from up close or telephoto from a good vantage point far away.
Some tips to keep in mind: consider what aperture you're shooting at. A wide aperture (like f/22) will keep the bulk of the building and its surroundings in sharp focus while a narrow aperture (like f/2.8 or f/4) will allow you to focus on a small detail of the building.
Try shooting a whole building or cityscape. You can also try zooming in on a building's details.
For those who are thinking of building a city of lego and shooting it...not this time.
Use this opportunity to explore your city. Go to places you're familiar with and know are gorgeous, but also try some places you've never been before. Or a different angle on a building you've seen before.
Submit your shots here by February 21st by 11:59PM to be considered for the video critique. You must submit a URL from your Flickr gallery in order to be eligible for the critique. They can be processed or au natural (no filter). Your choice.
Be sure to use the #SGPhoto hashtag as you post and share about the challenge.
Let the games begin!
