A triptych is a piece of art divided into 3 sections. It's also a great way to display 3 images as part of one photo story (and also if you can't make up your mind as to which shot to choose, you can choose many of them to display at once).
That's what we are going to be doing this week, making a triptych out of 3 shots we take. The one above was from my spring fashion shoot with Morgan Nicole Oldershaw last month. I liked something about each of the 3 shots, but didn't want to post each of them in my portfolio because they are too close to one another. Duplicate setups are usually frowned upon in a photographer's portfolio. So I put the 3 together into a triptych. They all get displayed and together they form a photo story from that day's shoot.
You can choose any 3 images you like to create your own triptych this week. But they should be connected to each other in some way that the viewer will see.
Choose different shots from the same shoot/day/event to tell a story of that day, or you can take 3 completely different images and put them together.
You only need to submit one triptych image if you like, but you are free to do more also.
Submissions should be in by Noon on Sunday June 22nd. Post this challenge around to show people what you are involved in and invite them to join, as well.
And I realize that there are some critiques that have yet to come out. They are piling up so will be coming out in short order this week. Stay tuned.
