I needed to take an updated profile photo of myself to submit to a group and figured it would be a cakewalk. Should I throw the camera on the tripod and take the shot completely myself? Hell no!
So enter my girlfriend, Candice (I realize that sentence came out horribly...but whatever, there's no backspacing now). I get her to sit in while I dial in the settings, switch roles with her and get her to take the shot for me.
When I first handed her the camera she cradled it as if I just handed her a bomb/baby/football. After a few minutes of getting her to hold it correctly, grab focus properly and then actually give me a head's up before pressing the shutter ("No, you're supposed to say 'Ready', wait, and then press it." "Okay...rea- *takes picture of me blinking*).
These are the results. It was very entertaining to see her handle my camera for the first time ever. Maybe next time I'll bust out the tripod though.
All shots taken with the Canon 60D with Tamron 70-200 f/2.8 at 135mm.
